Smoothie Fridays: Since Day 1!

Happy Smoothie Friday! Every Friday we introduce you to someone new: trainers, gym owners, Zenblen team members etc., and we highlight their favorite smoothie. Each blog lists the full smoothie recipe so you can make the featured smoothie right at home! To top things off, we ask our nutritionist to look over the recipes and give his take on a nutritional level, ensuring you learn the health benefits behind each great tasting smoothie!


Smoothie Fridays: Travis Wert


Travis is a part of Zenblen’s team helping with strategy and operations. More importantly, though, he was around when the idea for the smoothie kiosk came about! When the CEO of Zenblen started Smoothie Friday’s at their office, Travis was first in line to try the recipes. He’s been hooked on smoothies ever since!

His favorite smoothie:


- 2 shots of Roma espresso (Nespresso)

- 1 large banana, frozen

- 2 Tbsp almond butter

- Dash of cinnamon

- A few drops of vanilla

- 1 cup plain, unsweetened almond milk

- A few scoops of coconut milk yogurt

Our Nutritionist’s take:



“This smoothie is a great way for Travis to stay full because the healthy fats from the almond butter and coconut milk yogurt will keep him satiated throughout the morning. Caffeine is a natural appetite suppressant, so it’ll also help keep him from reaching for snacks right away. Also, adding cinnamon is a great addition because it not only adds great flavor, but it has anti-inflammatory properties as well as an ability to help with blood sugar stabilization. Overall, this is a great smoothie for Travis to start off his day with!”
