Smoothie Friday’s: Stephanie Paul
Stephanie is one of the newest trainers at SWEAT. She loves being a part of a team working hard to fulfill the mission of “Building Better Humans”. She also rolls this into her day job as a 4th grade teacher for Chicago Public Schools. Stephanie dedicates her life to improving others’ health and being a role model for her students.
Her favorite smoothie:
- Handful of spinach
- 1 banana
- 1 spoonful of almond butter
- 2 dates
- 1/2 cup of almond milk
“To me, smoothies are the best way to get servings of fruits and veggies quickly! With added protein, they help me recover from my hard HIIT workouts at SWEAT.” -Stephanie
Our Nutritionist’s take:
“The dates that Stephanie uses are a great way to boost the antioxidant levels in her smoothie. They’re also great for reducing blood pressure and maintaining bone mass which supports her active lifestyle as a trainer and teacher! She also gets some great vitamins from the Spinach she adds in. A few of these are fat soluble, so the almond butter helps the ingredients work synergistically for her nutritional benefit. The almond butter also helps satisfy hunger cravings because the healthy fats keep her feeling satiated.”
